Ferdi Botha

Date of birth?
10 March (the year remains a secret, because I will be forever young)
What Year did you begin at Radio CCfm?
1 June 2006
What did you want to be when you were little?
A radio sport commentator
What is your dream?
To see CCFM become the biggest gospel radio station, reaching the unreached
Who has influenced you most?
My wifie
Why a presenter at CCFM?
I was approached, it sounded good. God said "yes", and here I am!
Your greatest fear?
Moving on from earth to heaven's gates, and looking
into God's eyes and seeing disappointment! I have to please Him in
everything I do and do what He expects from me.
I fear to realise that I let Him down in some way or another.
What makes you laugh?
My wife, but also people who try to be someone they
are not.
What angers you?
Unfairness and people talking behind your back.
What's the best piece of advice you've received?
Listen to God's voice,
trust Him and just DO IT!
Your Most embarrassing moment?
Life keeps me humble all the time, so to
name just ONE embarrassing moment will be unfair.
Your biggest triumph?
I wouldn't call it a triumph, but biggest
achievement has to be when I completed my theological studies under very difficult circumstances.
What is your favourite verse in the Bible and who is your favourite Bible character?
Phillipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me. Characters: to many to name. I learned something from everyone.
What do you do when you are not behind/in front of the microphone at CCFM?
I'm behind my desk, still at CCFM. Otherwise, at home, talking to my wife about CCFM.
What was the BEST moment of your life?
When she said yes, because eventually...this move lead me to the Lord!
Which season is your favourite, and why?
I love all seasons, but Winter is special. Warm fires, green pastures and warm clothing. But Summer has
it's own joy. Braaing, etc. I am a man of all seasons. It's the same in life. We go through all the seasons. It's brilliant!
Do you like the wind in Cape Town?
The South Easter is fine, but the North Western wind, bringing all the storms, can be quite unsettling and frightening at times.
What do you think about Cape Town's people?
I love them all. They are such a special bunch of human beings. Individuals, with own
personalities and ways of doing things. If I didn't love the people, I wouldn't be in the job. I do what Jesus tell me to do. LOVE THE PEOPLE!!!!
IS THAT ALL? I HAD MORE ANSWERS, BUT YOUR QUESTIONS RAN OUT!
Jesus-liefde!
