Quinton Manuel

Quinton Manuel or "Just plain Q" as he's fondly known amongst listerners is an on air presenter, hosting and producing the three hour magazine style music programme "CCfm lunchbreak" weekdays from 12:00 -15:00pm. Sunday's Quinton returns to the airwaves and shares his deep love for soul music with the City Of Cape Town, On the Sunday Soul Train from 14:00 -17:00.
Quinton a sought after radio host and Master of Ceremonies has seen him MC events for International grammy awards winning gospel artists such as, Isreal Houghton, Kurt Carr and Hezekiah Walker to mention but a few. At home Quinton's Mc work has seen him share the stage with many of Cape Town's leading artists such as Neville d, Kunjalo, Jimmy dludlu and Allou April at various concerts and festivals including the Jazzathon and the Suidooster Fees. His radio journey started in 1998 whilst only 16 years old at a community station called Bushradio, where he co-hosted a youth programme called pick a tune, along side Victor J (now their breakfast Jock). At the Age of 17, He attended and completed a programme production course at C-Flat Radio. Quinton is also involved with a sister commercial radio station at present.
Quinton completed a broadcast sound-engineering course at radio Ccfm in 1999, afterwhich he started hosting the graveyard slot on weekends, and continued to work his way on to hosting a weekday youth show from 21:00 to midnight, since 2005. Because of Quinton's great passion for Jazz, he started hosting & producing Ccfm's only gospel jazz show, Saturdays from 18:00 to 21:00 untill December 2006.
In January 2006, God gave him an opportunity at Cape Town based Commercial radio station P4 radio, Two weeks on, the programme manager offered that he to host the weekend graveyard shift for two weeks, He ended up hosting it for a rather long while. Knowing the calling God has on his life, He decided to return to return to Ccfm.
As he was about to make contact with CCfm, He was offered a slot at Cape Town based Community Jazz radio station, Fine Music Radio. Where he "camped" untill November 2007 inventing the Sunday Soul Sessions programme, weekends from 10pm till midnight.
Whilst in his radio/entertainment career Quinton's was employed at a secular record label & music distribution company called bowline music, where his duty is to liase with instore buyers, and all print and radio media, regarding all the record label's latest releases to punt promote and merch their artist. This industry has seen Quinton connect with many of the labels & media partners including print media.
Quinton Credits all the many people who believed in his gift through he's radio journey.
