What is Share-a-thon?

Share-a-thon is an annual fundraiser CCFm holds to raise money for essential costs such as equipment replacement, prayer friend resources, broadcast costs & some day to day running expenses. It is always held over CCFm's birthday which is the 1st September. It runs for a few hours each day from Monday to Saturday. In 2010 the dates are Monday 30th August to Saturday 4th September.

What I can expect to hear on CCFm over Share-a-thon?

During Share-a-thon hours, the regular programming falls away. The regular presenters are joined in the studio by guest presenters. Together they talk about how God is using CCFm to touch people's lives and to bring people to Jesus Christ. They also outline the financial needs of CCFm and as people start pledging, those pledges are read out. It's a time of high energy, a lot of chatter & excitement.
Also Share-a-thon is run from the CCFm Hall which makes it live and interactive. All the telephones are in the same place and there's a lot of activity which adds to the excitement.

Doesn't CCFm get income from advertising?

Yes, CCFm does get income from advertising but it is not enough to meet the needs of CCFm's running expenses.  Share-a-thon gives listeners the opportunity to share in the spreading of the Gospel. You become partners with us.

Is Share-a-thon Biblical?

Absolutely!
1 Corinthians 9 verse 11 says "If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?"
Luke 6:38  Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

Can I pay my tithe to CCFm's Share-a-thon?

No. CCFm believes you should be tithing to your local church. Giving to CCFm is over and above your tithe.

What is the giving process?

What happens during Share-a-thon is that we ask you to phone or SMS in and pledge the amount that the Lord has laid on your heart. It could be a one off amount or a monthly sum. Once you have pledged, you can pay either by EFT or by depositing the payment into CCFm's Current ABSA Account number 9061568939. If you would prefer, you are welcome to come directly to CCFm and pay your pledge at our studios 146 Main Rd. Muizenberg. CCFm would love for you to become an ongoing partner and support the ministry on a monthly basis. If this is something you would like to do, then you can fill in a debit order form and the amount will be deducted off your account on a monthly basis.
